2.5 pounds gone!

Well, it's been another 2 weeks and I lost 2.5 pounds! That's a total of 9.5 pounds since I started nutrisystem. I'm happy that I'm losing, even though I think it's a small amount. I have been walking more last week and getting motivated to exercise. Lately, if I don't think I have time to exercise, I will go shopping, but before I actually go shopping, I'll park my car in the parking lot and walk 20 minutes. After I do my walking, I will do my shopping.

Trader Joe's Reduced Guilt Pizza

There has been a lot of talk on the Trader Joe's Reduced Guilt Pizza. I guess a lot of people sub this pizza for their nutrisystem dinners. So, I decided to try it. It was pretty good. I added artichokes and sliced tomatoes and I was happy with the taste. I also tried a 150 calorie pizza from whole foods, but didn't like it that much. Not much taste to it. The trader joe's reduced guilt pizza is much better!

BBQ Sauce with Pork Wrap

I was really scared to try this. Some negative reviews on the nutrisystem board, but it was really good. I sauteed some bell peppers and onions, mixed in the bbq pork wrap, put it in a tortilla with a dab of ff sour cream. It was pretty good. The only problem I had with this is that it fell apart! Next time, I want to try to make it like an open face pizza. A lot of people on the nutrisystem boards recommend this!

3 pounds gone!

I haven't weighed myself in about two weeks, but I lost 3 pounds (7 pounds since I started the nutrisystem). I was hoping for at least 4 pounds, but I haven't exercised much. My weight is getting less, so that's all that matters to me. I just need to get to the gym more often!

Spinach & Cheese Stuffed Shells (frozen)

I wanted to tell you guys a funny story. The other day, I took my nutrisystem dinner (Spinach & Cheese Stuffed Shells) to my massage class the other night. When we all had our break, I cooked it in the microwave and started eating it. Everybody asked what smelled so good! Of course, they all saw me eating my spinach & cheese stuffed shells. My massage instructor said, "I don't get it. How can something smell so good?" I thought that was funny and wanted to share that with you. It was pretty tasty and one of my favorite frozen meals.

Sloppy Joe Review

I had the sloppy joes yesterday. I sauteed some onions and bell peppers and added that to the sloppy joe mix with 1 oz. of wheat pasta. It looked really good, but it didn't taste that good! In fact, I couldn't finish it. My stomach hurt a little after eating it. I went on the boards and asked about the sloppy joes and somebody commented that they also had the sloppy joes and had severe gas cramps. I didn't have any gas cramps, just my stomach hurt. But, the next day I had a lot of gas! I won't be ordering these again!!

Day 26 - Breakfast

I once saw a blog about making fruity crepes using the nutrisystem package pancake mix. I wanted to try them so bad! It looked so good. For some reason, I could not flip the crepe. It was just too mushy. I made rasberry pancakes instead and they were aweseome! This is what I did:

1. I made pancakes like normal.
2. I added 1 cup of rasberries, a little water, and 1 tsp of splenda into a sauce pan. Cooked on medium heat until it looked saucy.
3. Put the rasberry and sauce on the pancake with a drop of ff cool whip.

Here is the blog about how to make fruity crepes. Maybe you will have better luck than I did:

Day 21-25

Wow, I have been so busy the last few days! Where has the time gone! My Reiki business is booming right now! I like being busy. I'm a little behind on the daily blogs, but I did want to upload a few pics of some awesome food I made:

1. Tuna salad. Oh my gosh, this was awesome! It tasted so good!! I put the tuna salad on a light wheat bun. I mixed a little bit of onion and pickles in the tuna salad, but honestly it didn't even need that. It was already tasty in the beginning! I was bummed that I was out of tomatoes! That would have been great with tomato, but I did put lettuce on the sandwich. So good! I'm ordered many more of these next time!

2. Tacos. I recently saw a post about somebody on the boards that made tacos with the hamburger patty. I thought I would try that too! My nephews were coming over to my house for dinner and I made my nephews tacos, so I made myself some tacos too! I re-hydrated the hamburger like normal. Put it in a pan with some pam and cooked it a little bit with chopped onion and chopped the hamburger into pieces. I cooked two corn tortillas with pam. I added the chopped beef, tomatoes, onion, lettuce, ff cheese, and catsup. One word. AMAZING! So good. You guys need to try this one!

3. Banana Pancakes. I used the regular dry pancake mix to make banana pancakes. This was my first time making the dry pancake mix. It was alright. The pancakes seemed kind of dry. I think I will stick with the blueberry pancake mix.

Frozen Food!

I received my frozen food today! Yeah! I received it a day after the dry food. I barely had room in the freezer, but I'm glad all the food fit okay. I'm really liking the pepperoni pizza and the ice-cream sandwiches!

Day 20

I tried some new nutrisystem food today and I wanted to tell you guys about them.

For lunch, I tried the minestrone soup. Before I made this, I went on the boards and searched for this soup. I found a few suggestions on how to make it better. I added boiling water to the cup, stirred it, and put a lid on top of it for 20 minutes. Then, I steamed up some brocoli and green bell pepper. After 20 minutes, I stirred it again, dumped it in a sauce pan. I added the brocoli and green bell pepper, 3 spoons of can tomatoes with garlic and basil, and garlic powder. I sprinkled some parmesan cheese on top. It was pretty good! It wasn't as good at the mexican tortilla soup, but very good!

For dinner, I had the frozen chicken dinners with green beans. That was very tasty and very good!

2nd box of food!

I received my 2nd box of food today! Yeah, I'm so excited!! I tried most of the food, so I know what I want. I'm also trying new foods!

I ordered plenty of popcorn, blueberry pancakes, hamburgers, flatbread pizzas, mexican tortilla soup, and southwestern wraps.

The new food I'm trying:

Sloppy Joe's
Tuna Salad
Vegetable Fajita
Italian-Style Wedding Soup

Day 19

For breakfast, I had more oatmeal and 1/2 of a grapfruit. An hour later, I had 1 scrambled egg with salsa. For lunch, I had the roasted vegetable pizza. That was pretty good and I loved the crust! For dinner, I had the rotini with meatballs. I heated it up in the microwave, then dumped it into a pan with sauteed green bell peppers, spices, and chopped tomatoes. I added ff parmesan cheese on top. It was alright. I think I will add more spices next time. I had a nice salad with ff thousand island dressing. I'm really liking this ff thousand island dressing. I can't even tell it's ff! It's that good. I buy the Kraft brand, because that's what everybody on the nutrisystem boards said to get and it's awesome!

For dessert, I had a luna white chocolate macadamia bar. There were a lot of posts about this bar and good for dessert. It was pretty good. It has a lot of protein in it. But, I think I like the kashi bars better. I'm running out of desserts, because I don't like all the ice-cream, so it was a good choice.

Day 18

Today, for breakfast I had cinnamon oatmeal with half of a grapefruit. I also scrambled 1 egg with salsa an hour later. I can't remember what I had for lunch. I'll have to think about that. For dinner, I brought the packaged spaghetti with meat sauce to my class and ate it on break. For some reason, I didn't like it too much. I don't know why. I liked it the first time! It was almost like a nutrisweet flavor to it. That sucks, now what am I going to do for dinner? I'm getting low on my dinner options and I'm liking less stuff. And, I'm craving those hamburgers. I want one almost every night. Is it really bad to have a hamburger every night?

Day 17

For breakfast, I had the frozen omelette with ham & cheese. It was actually pretty good. Better than the veggie omelette. Maybe I have to get used to the frozen omelettes.

For lunch, I had the pasta parmesan with brocoli. I searched for this food on the boards of the nutrisystem and followed the suggestions they gave. This is what several people on the boards said to do to make it taste better:

1. Add boiling water to the fill line of the cup. Stir well.
2. Cover the cup. Wait 20 minutes.
3. Stir again and wait another few minutes.

I also made some brocoli and mix it together in a saucepan. It was tasty and I would make again!

For dinner, I decided to try the hamburger again. A few people on the boards said to mix some worchestire sauce in the hot water of the hamburger. I did that, but the burger felt a little salty. Maybe I put too much in? Someone on the boards recommended grilling the buns with pam. I did that and it was awesome! The burger itself still needs work I think. I also made some carrot fries and they were so good. All I did was slice some carrots and put in a bowl with some salt, pepper, pam, and rosemary spice. I mixed everything together and put it on a baking sheet for 20 minutes at 425 degrees. Awesome! I'm going to make more next time! I also added a salad to my dinner. It was a good dinner.

Day 16

I had some interesting meals today. I cooked up the frozen pancakes, microwaved them and put fresh sliced bananas on top. Pretty good. I would like to try the packaged pancake mix next time and put bananas inside the mix. I served the pancakes with half of a grapefruit. An hour later, I had 1 egg scrambled with pace salsa. It was tasty!

After breakfast, I weighed myself and lost 2 pounds!! I was happy to lose some more pounds. I lost a total of 4 pounds in two weeks. Not as much as other people have lost, but at least it's something!

For lunch, I had the mexican tortilla soup. I dumped everything in a sauce pan and added green beans, green bell pepper in the mix. I put a tablespoon of ff sour cream and sprinkled some ff cheese on top. It was really good! By far, one of my favorite lunches!

For dinner, I had the meat lasagne. I thought it was just okay and had a weird taste afterwards. I won't be ordering that one again.
