Day 15

I didn't have time to take pictures of all my food today, because I was in massage class all day. For breakfast, I had more of that yummy cinnamon cereal with blueberries. For lunch, I had the meatball sandwich. It was pretty good. For dinner, I had the frozen margherita pizza. I added some sauteed onion, green/red bell peppers, and zucchini. I also added some olives and sliced tomatoes. It was pretty good and the crust was amazing. But, it wasn't as good as the flatbread pizza.

For dessert, I tried the ice-cream sandwich. It was actually pretty good. I was afraid of tasting the nutra sweet flavor, but it didn't really taste all that bad.

Day 14 - Dessert

I had the chocolate peanut bar for dessert tonight. It had a nice flavor to it and really tasty. It was also bigger than some of the other bars. I will be adding more of these to my next order!

Day 14 - Dinner

I had the frozen raviolis for dinner. Several people on the nutrisystem boards seemed to really like this dish. It is actually really good! The sauce tastes rich. I steamed up 2 cups of carrots on the side.

Day 14 - Lunch

I had the hot dog for lunch. When I first saw it on the menu, I didn't think it would be very good. But, people on the boards seem to love it. At least, most of them. I wanted to make it really good, so I put my hot dog on a bun with mustard, tomatoes, onions, and fat free cheese. It wasn't as good as I was expecting. The hot dog seemed kind of mushy instead. I won't be ordering it again. I had 2 cups of cooked brocoli for my vegetable.

Day 14 - Breakfast

I made blueberry pancakes again for breakfast. They were good and tasty. I like to put extra berries and sprinkle on some fat free syrup. I had fruit and 1 oz. turkey slices an hour later.

Day 9-13

I had a busy week and was unable to take pictures of all my food this week, but I did take a few pictures.

1. Nutricinnamon Squares Cereal. Very good! Most people on the nutrisystem boards liked this cereal and they were right! It is super good and tastes fresh. I added blueberries and it was yummy!

2. Flatbread Pizza. I once saw a pic on the boards on this pizza with roasted vegetables on top and it looked so good, it was giving me ideas! I added sauteed onion, bell peppers, squash, olives, artichokes, and sliced tomatoes. I also added laughing cow cheese on the crust before the sauce. Oh my gosh! This was sooo good! This is now my favorite dinner!!!

3. I couldn't wait to try the hamburger, because they were raving about these on the boards. But, it was just okay for me. Nothing special. Somebody on the boards talked about adding worchestire sauce in the water. I may try that next time. It might take me awhile to get used to the taste also. I will try them again, because I have 3 left!

Other foods I have tried this week: chicken fajita melt (yummy!), steak melt (very good!), beef stew - dinner (good flavor), vegetable beef stew (very good).

I weighed myself last Monday and I lost 2 pounds! It's been a week and I thought I would lose more pounds, but I am happy with 2 pounds! I don't think I'm drinking enough water, so I will try to increase my water this week!

Day 8 - Dinner

I had the southwestern-style chicken wrap for dinner tonight. It was pretty good. I made it like a burritto and added sauteed onions and bell peppers, lettuce, tomato, ff sour cream, and salsa. Yum!

Day 8 - Lunch

I had the toasted ham and cheese for lunch. It was so good! It was really crispy, too! I ate it with steamed green and yellow squash. Yummy!

Day 8 - Breakfast

I had the apple cinnamon oatmeal again. It was actually really good. Someone on the message boards on the nutrisystem said to add water in the microwave, then add some milk after it is heated up. Makes a big difference and I liked it!

Day 7 - Dinner/Dessert

I had a frozen entree for dinner tonight. Glazed Chicken Tenders. It was good and reminded me of a regular tv dinner. Not bad!

For dessert, I had the nacho crisps. That was gross and had a nasty taste to it. I'm beginning to not like the chips they have for dessert. I even tasted the ice-cream and I didn't care for the nutri-sweet flavor. But, I do like the chocolate bars!

Day 7 - Lunch

I made the three cheese pasta with chicken. I put it in a sauce pan with vegetables and garlic powder. It was pretty and I would make this again.

Day 7 - Breakfast

I had the french toast for breakfast this morning. I sprinkled some fat free syrup and topped it with blueberries. I don't really like the taste of fat free syrup, but if I don't put too much on, I can't taste it much. I thought the french toast was good, even though someone on the boards didn't like it.

Day 6 - Dessert

I had the coconut almond bar for my dessert tonight. It kind of reminded me on an almond joy bar. It was good!

Day 6 - Dinner

I had the macaroni & cheese with beef for dinner tonight. Instead of microwaving it, I decided to make it in a sauce pan on medium heat, adding the water. It turned out really well and had a good flavor. It was really cheesy and creamy. I was highly impressed. It doesn't look like the pic on the package. The hamburger is smaller in size. I had it with brocoli. It was filling and another favorite dinner!

Day 6 - Lunch

I had the brocoli soup for lunch, but it turned out really mushy and chunky. I went on the message boards later and a few people gave me some ideas. They thought that I didn't mix the brocoli soup very well. That could have been the case and I will try that next time.

Day 6 - Breakfast

I had the egg fritatta for breakfast. I know that most people on the message boards on the nutrisystem site don't like the egg fritatta. But, I followed a few suggestions from people on the boards to make it better. I mixed one egg with vegetables and scrambled it like regular eggs and it was still gross! I did not like it. In fact, I wasn't even going to try the other dry egg product (scrambled eggs with veggies). I called nutrisystem today and told them that I wanted to exchange some of my old food for new food and they let me keep my old food. But, they are sending me some blueberry pancake mixes, which I think is the best dry breakfast they have! Maybe even the best frozen too!

Day 5 - Dessert

When I got home from my massage class, I was still a little hungry and had the mint & chocolate crunch bar. I thought it was awesome and by far the best dessert items I have had.

Day 5 - Dinner

I had the spaghetti with meat sauce for dinner. I brought it to my massage class and everybody in the breakroom said, "what smells so good!" I didn't tell them I was having a nutrisystem meal. It was really good and now one of my favorite dinners!

Day 5 - Lunch

I had the red beans and rice for lunch. It was okay, a little spicy, but not that spicy. I made it like a taco salad with lettuce, tomato, ff cheese, and ff sour cream. I don't think I will order it again though. It had a weird after taste to it.

Day 5 - Breakfast

I was starving when I woke up this morning, so I had blueberry pancakes. They were so good. So far, the best breakfast I have had! After eating my breakfast, my energy perked up a bit.

Day 4 - Snack

I came back from giving my sister a massage and I felt fantastic and full of energy. I also took a daily vitamin after dinner tonight. I decided to try the popcorn for snack. It was really good. I mean REALLY good! I was impressed and it didn't taste like diet food at all! It's a new item and I hope they keep it for awhile.

Day 4 - Dinner

After lunch, I took a nap. I was really tired and not feeling well. I woke up, feeling rested. I did some polarity on myself and felt even better! I had the thick crust pizza for dinner. I did what one person suggested on the boards: Put the sauce on the pizza and add sauteed vegetables, then the cheese. I also added slice tomatoes on my pizza and baked it for 5 minutes. It was good, but not nearly as good as the frozen pepperoni pizza. I wish they would ship more of those! Those are awesome! I added sauteed bell peppers on the side.

Day 4 - Lunch

I just got back from Trader Joe's. I bought some fat free sour cream for my chicken quesadilla. It was actually pretty good. I still had stomach pains from last night's dinner, but feeling a little bit better.

Day 4 - Breakfast

I woke up this morning still feeling sick to my stomach. I can't believe how sick I got. And, I'm shocked that other people love this meal. For breakfast, I had the frozen breakfast buritto and an apple. The breakfast buritto was good, but the tortilla was a little tough. But, it was alright.

Day 3 - Dinner

I was thinking of what would be a good dinner to bring during my break tonight in my massage class. I wanted to try something new and not pasta. I've been having a lot of pasta lately. I decided to try the sweet and sour chicken dinner. I checked to see if there were any comments on this meal on the message boards. Sometimes they mention ideas on how to improve the meal. Someone commented that they hated it. I was like, "Oh, great. I chose a bad dinner". But, other people said just add vegetables and soy sauce and it's good. I tried that. I cooked it up, put it in a bowl, and ate it during my break tonight. Oh my gosh! That was the worst thing I have ever tasted! The nutri-sweet flavor in the chicken really got to me and I couldn't eat it. I ended up finding some nuts to snack on and I threw the sweet and sour chicken in the trash! I felt a little sick to my stomach the whole evening and had trouble sleeping.

Day 3 - Lunch

I had the alfredo pasta for lunch. The package wasn't very big. I added a lot of veggies and it still wasn't enough! The pasta tasted like top ramen noodles. It wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't that bad. The frozen chicken alfredo is way better!

Day 3 - Breakfast

I had the cinnamon oatmeal for breakfast. The taste was a little bit better today. Maybe I have to get used to it. I also had some grapefruit as a fruit. I'm feeling a little weak and tired today. I hope my energy gets better!

Day 2 - Dessert

I was still hungry after dinner, so I had the carrot cake for dessert. It was really good! It even had nuts in it! I am going to add more of these on my next order!!

Day 2- Dinner

For dinner, I had the frozen chicken alfredo. I added bell peppers, zucchini, and brocoli. It was pretty good. I was really hungry at dinner time. I'm noticing that I'm not eating all my snacks. And, I didn't finish all my breakfast this morning. So, it makes sense why I was so hungry for dinner.

Day 2 - Lunch

For lunch, I had the cheese tortellini. I was worried about eating this, because someone on the message boards at the nutrisystem site said they hated the cheese tortellini and people always complain about the box meals. I microwaved the cheese tortellini and added steamed brocoli, squash, and diced tomatoes and sprinkled some parmesan cheese. You can have parmesan cheese as a protein for lunch. It was actually pretty good. Better than the oatmeal and cheese puffs, but not as good as the pepperoni frozen pizza.

Day 2 - Breakfast

For breakfast, I had the oatmeal, small apple, and low fat string cheese. The oatmeal wasn't very tasty, but maybe I will get used to it. I love oatmeal and picked out 10 oatmeals for breakfast. I think I will pick out less next time.

Nutrisystem Day 1 - Dinner

I thought it would be fun to talk about my progress on the nutrisystem and the food. I decided to start tonight. I was going to start on a Monday, but I received all my food today.

So tonight, I had a frozen turkey pepperoni pizza. I cooked up some vegetables (onions, zucchini, orange, yellow, and green bell peppers) and put sliced tomatoes on the pizza. It was actually really good, but small. I heard that the frozen meals were really good! I also cooked up some green beans on the side.

For snack tonight, I had the cheese puffs. Not so good. I love cheese puffs and they weren't very tasty.
